Dallas Art Fair 2025: H.E. Morris

10 – 13 April 2025 | Booth G17
Dallas, USA

LBF Contemporary is pleased to announce its participation in the Dallas Art Fair 2025, featuring a solo presentation by London-based artist H.E. Morris. This presentation highlights a series of seven new paintings, exploring themes of memory, emotion, and the transience of time.

This new series of work delves deeper into the notion of time as both an emotional and physical force. Each piece presents a vivid exploration of the way memory and emotion are etched into the surfaces of her canvases. Through the integration of layered textures, stitching, and bold brushstrokes, Morris transforms her paintings into visceral objects that reflect the complex depths of human consciousness.

About the Artist

H. E. Morris completed her PhD in Fine Art at Newcastle University in 2025, after receiving a MA from Goldsmiths in Contemporary Art Theory, a MFA from the University of Iowa in Painting and Drawing, and a BA from Hampshire College. Morris was a fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, MA in 2019, and a Soho Revue Artist in Residence in 2023. Her practice is interested in working through a place of emotion to search for a truth. Structuring her paintings through memory, she explores the temporalities of narrative in order to test a notion of time that splits between working through absence and presence. Morris’s work can also be found in the collection of the Green Family Art Foundation, Dallas, TX, US; and in Museu Inimá de Paula, Brasil.
